Thank you for your interest in the Temecula Valley Garden Club. Membership in our club allows you to participate in all of our activities, including meetings, local trips and tours, garden tours, workshops, events and community service projects. Members also receive a monthly newsletter via email and a printed yearbook containing a member directory and the year's schedule with everything you need to know for that year.
You can join at any meeting or by completing the attached form and mailing it with your check to the Membership Chairperson at the P.O. Box listed on the application. The membership fees and various volunteer opportunities are detailed on the form. Visitors are welcome to attend one General Meeting per year without becoming a member. We are a hands-on club and encourage all new members to get involved by joining a committee.
We look forward to having you as a member of our club.
Temecula Valley Garden Club encourages interest in all phases of home gardening, promotes horticultural best practices and conservation of natural resources. We also aid civic organizations and the community through education and beautification projects.
The TVGC activities include monthly meetings, workshops, trips and tours, as well as an opportunity for those who have a common interest to become acquainted, share knowledge and develop meaningful friendships.
The club supports several projects such as:
· Civic Beautification opportunities to provide environmental landscape design and education. We are currently working on and maintaining the Native Plant Garden at Sam Hicks Monument Park in Temecula.
· Community Service including our Grow It and Give It program where members donate excess fruit, produce, canned and/or packaged food, which is delivered to a local food pantry. We also are helping in the gardens at the Cultivating Inclusion Farm in Murrieta on Wednesdays. We help teach sustainable gardening practices and lead hands-on projects for young adults with special needs.
· Conservation and the Environment where club members support the Penny Pines Reforestation Program to maintain existing trees and improve wildlife habitat or replant burned or otherwise damaged forests in the San Bernardino National Forest.
· Education for our members, which includes programs (at our monthly meetings) and workshops. We also have Trips and Tours, where we visit as a group, different horticultural venues. At the monthly meetings there is often a Master Gardener who can help answer your gardening questions. The club website and social media pages offer a wealth of information, including articles and links to other gardening related sites.
· Holiday Boutique A great way to get in the spirit is the Holiday Boutique which is a Craft, Plant and Bake Sale at the Temecula Community Center on Saturday November 14, 2026.
· Flower Show and Plant Sale Every other year we have a National Garden Club Flower Show. In the alternate years, we have a Garden Tour where TVGC members open their gardens to club members.
TVGC is a member of the National Garden Clubs, Inc. (NGC) and the California Garden Clubs, Inc. (CGCI). Our club has benefited greatly from membership in these organizations and we support their many activities and charities. Members are encouraged to attend educational programs and conferences sponsored by CGCI. Follow us on facebook.com/temeculavalleygardenclub/ and instagram.com/temeculavalleygardenclub/#.
Guests are welcome to visit one monthly meeting without a membership.
The meetings are the second Tuesday of the month (except July, August & November) at 9:30 a.m. in the Temecula Community Center, 28816 Pujol Street in Temecula.
We hope to see you there!
